Estamos pendientes de la sentencia. Pero a los hijos políticos de Don Cristobal Montoro les da exactamente igual. Para los interventores de este Ministerio de Hacienda, lo de la división de poderes del ínclito Montesquieu es cosa del pasado. Ellos se constituyen en poder ejecutivo y judicial al mismo tiempo. ¿Para qué esperar a que algún juez se le ocurra darnos la razón utilizando los argumentos que, en su día, en una clarificadora sentencia, utilizó el Tribunal de Cuentas? Con lo que está cayendo en estos días, uno escucha a Rajoy con más interés que nunca porque en sus palabras siempre queda en el aire una incógnita. Días pasados le oí decir algo que me pareció plausible, porque responde a las reglas de la lógica. “¿Por qué cambiar algo que funciona, si además funciona bien?” Pues no, Don Mariano. Su ministro de Hacienda le contradice y le desautoriza. Antes se actuaba con más sentido común. Y hablo con conocimiento y por experiencia. Hace unos años la Unión Romaní se vio igualmente impelida por Hacienda a devolver unas cantidades que los controladores del ministerio entendieron que no estaban bien justificadas. Eso es normal, sobre todo si quien inspecciona tiene una especial cualidad para ver posibles fraudes incluso donde no los hay.
Pues bien, una vez recibido el aviso de pago de la delegación de Hacienda en Barcelona hicimos el correspondiente escrito solicitando que se suspendiera la orden de devolución hasta que la Audiencia Nacional dictara sentencia. El Delegado de Hacienda de entonces, un tipo de una sensibilidad exquisita, natural de Jerez de la Frontera ―algo tiene el agua cuando la bendicen― de nombre Miguel Parra Ortega, entendió nuestras razones y determinó suspender la orden de devolución hasta que la Audiencia Nacional resolviera. Y la Audiencia Nacional nos dio la razón y aquí paz y luego gloria.

Para el Sr. Montoro y sus subordinados hay que seguir una norma: a las ONG de acción social no hay que dejarlas respirar. Lo que les voy a contar a continuación es increíble. La Unión Romaní es una ONG que defiende los derechos de gente marginada, la mayoría de las cuales viven en situación de exclusión. Somos pobres de solemnidad. No tenemos más recursos que los que proceden de los poderes públicos. Pues bien, Montoro se ha robado a sí mismo, porque los 24.506,89 euros que nos ha quitado alevosamente de nuestra cuenta corriente proceden de la subvención con que este año estamos realizando un programa de lucha contra el absentismo escolar de muchos niños gitanos y otro de empleo juvenil. Esos programas los hemos tenido que suspender. No podemos pagar ni a los monitores ni a los educadores que velan por que los niños no falten a la escuela.
