Francisco Gutiérrez aclara que "el tema del concurso es amplio, por lo que se pueden presentar propuestas sencillas que usen la tecnología, internet y/o redes sociales para dar solución a problemas de hoy". Para la presentación del desarrollo del proyecto podrán utilizase medios audiovisuales, paneles o trabajos físicos, maquetas, etc. La participación se puede realizar de manera individual o por grupos con un máximo de cuatro participantes. Además, será entregado un diploma a todos los participantes en el certamen.
