El edil del área, Alexis Pineda, ha destacado después del almuerzo compartido con gran parte del voluntariado, que “estamos muy contentos en esta tercera edición de la limpieza de calas inaccesibles, ver a tanta gente y empresas involucrados con la concienciación medioambiental y dejar nuestras calas más escondidas libres de residuos ha sido una satisfacción. Un día emocionante con mucho trabajo, pero también amor a esta tierra”. “Y es que además de la limpieza, que ayuda a la conservación de nuestros fondos, costa y todos los seres vivos que interactúan con el medio, la solidaridad y el trabajo en equipo dejan también su huella en la población, convirtiéndose en una gran forma de arrancar la temporada”.

En este nuevo reto, los voluntarios han accedido a más de treinta calas del litoral nijareño, desde Aguamarga a la Fabriquilla. Los voluntarios se organizaron en diversos grupos de acción, recorriendo calas de las que recogieron más de cinco toneladas de basura de diversa índole. En esta actividad colaboraron también un total de 26 empresas y asociaciones. La mayor parte de estas empresas cumplen con las memorias de utilidad pública de las concesiones, que obtienen por el Plan de Playas, aportando embarcaciones y personal a la jornada.
