Sánchez califica de "sobresaliente" la coordinación institucional ante la DANA

El presidente del Gobierno conoce en Níjar la situación

El presidente del Gobierno central, Pedro Sánchez, ha destacado en Níjar la colaboración entre las distintas instituciones a la hora de dar respuesta a los efectos de la gota fría, y ha querido trasladar su "solidaridad con todos los vecinos y vecinas de los municipios afectados".

Tras agradecer la "hospitalidad y la agilidad" de la alcaldesa de Níjar, Esperanza Pérez, a la hora de impulsar una reunión en el propio Ayuntamiento con todas las instituciones, Sánchez ha puesto en valor la aprobación en abril de la Estrategia Nacional de Protección Civil que ha sido especialmente útil en esta situación, según ha expresado.

En prevención califica la colaboración institucional de "sobresaliente", aunque eso "desgraciadamente no ha podido impedir" las muertes producidas, si bien hubieran podido ser más, así como los daños ocasionados hubiesen sido superiores.

Por otro lado ha valorado positivamente la respuesta "muy eficaz" de Ong, voluntarios, empleados públicos y Fuerzas y Cuerpos de Seguridad del Estado. Ha llamado la atención sobre personal que no es muy visible en su trabajo, pero que es fundamental para garantizar el suministro de agua, como el de las confederaciones hidrográficas,

Respecto a la recuperación tras la catástrofe, el presidente ha destacado que "no vamos a escatimar ningún recurso y que hasta que no acabe esta crisis de protección civil, el Ejército seguirá desplegado".
