El portavoz del Grupo Parlamentario Socialista, Jesús María Ruiz, ha afeado al gobierno andaluz que Andalucía sea la Comunidad Autónoma con mayor porcentaje de profesionales sanitarios infectados por coronavirus, tras haber sido objeto de “coacciones y amenazas, negándoles e incluso prohibiéndoles el acceso a los equipos de protección que tenían bajo llave”, como han revelado profesionales sanitarios y sindicatos en declaraciones publicadas por medios de comunicación con testimonios de personal del hospital Virgen Macarena de Sevilla y del sindicato Satse.

“Es intolerable, inadmisible y vergonzoso” que mientras médicos, enfermeras o celadores estaban contagiados, el centro lucía carteles de no usar mascarillas para no crear alarma. La mala gestión y la falta de respuestas han llevado a los profesionales y sindicatos a denunciar la situación en los juzgados.
“Más de 7.500 profesionales sanitarios han estado afectados o aislados de baja, con riesgo de contagiar a sus propias familias”, ha recordado el portavoz socialista, quien urge al ejecutivo de Moreno Bonilla a “dar una respuesta clara, tiene que tomar medidas de inmediato para garantizar la seguridad de todos los profesionales sanitarios. No nos podemos permitir que miles estén baja, mermando además la capacidad del sistema sanitario para hacer frente a la pandemia”.
Ruiz ha exigido al gobierno andaluz a “garantizar que se les realicen las pruebas correctas y necesarias para detectar a profesionales que son positivos y aquellos que tienen anticuerpos. Los profesionales sanitarios están dando lo mejor de sí mismos, realizando un esfuerzo inconmensurable y la única respuesta del gobierno de Moreno Bonilla debe ser protegerlos, evitar que se puedan contagiar, y proteger así también al conjunto de los ciudadanos”, concluyó.
