En comparecencia en la Cámara autonómica, Crespo ha incidido en que “sin agua” no es posible la recuperación de Andalucía tras el estado de alarma por el Covid-19 y ha subrayado la batería de inversiones que está desplegando su consejería para la ejecución de infraestructuras hidráulicas, la restauración de cauces y la depuración de aguas residuales, “tras muchos años de retrasos” y que han supuesto sanciones millonarias por parte de la Unión Europea. “Si queremos una recuperación económica después de la pandemia, necesitamos que la política de aguas vaya como un cañón”, ha enfatizado.

A este respecto, la consejera ha resaltado la licitación de una inversión de 575 millones de euros en infraestructuras del agua que suman 357 contratos y que supondrá la generación de 8.500 empleos verdes. En este sentido, ha puesto el acento en las obras de depuración de aguas residuales como un elemento fundamental dentro de la estrategia de Revolución Verde de Andalucía.
Crespo ha hecho hincapié en la modificación normativa que ha permitido destinar fondos del canon del agua para proyectos de abastecimiento en alta, con la finalidad de asegurar un suministro en cantidad y calidad en aquellas zonas de la comunidad más afectadas por la sequía. En total, 17 actuaciones declaradas de interés de la comunidad autónoma con las que se prevé resolver problemas de abastecimiento para 3,6 millones de andaluces de 215 municipios.

“Hemos ofrecido al Ministerio colaboración público-privada para agilizar las ejecución de infraestructuras que dependen del Estado, como el desdoblamiento del Túnel de San Silvestre en Huelva, las conducciones de Rules en Granada o la ampliación de la desaladora almeriense de Carboneras”, ha detallado la consejera, quien ha trasladado la necesidad de que estas actuaciones “no sigan paralizadas porque son fundamentales para Andalucía”.
En su comparecencia parlamentaria, Crespo también ha apuntado al comienzo de la tercera fase del Pacto Andaluz por el Agua, que supone abrir esta iniciativa a la participación pública, a través de órganos colegiados y a la ciudadanía en general. La consejera ha aprovechado para insistir en el objetivo del Gobierno de Andalucía de alcanzar un “importante consenso” en torno a una política de aguas que impulse nuevas posibilidades de crecimiento, que genere empleo ligado al medioambiente “y que nos permita ser más ecológicos mediante la depuración de las aguas residuales”.
