“En el mejor de los casos, desde que se inició la obra de prolongación del paseo marítimo hasta que se termine habrán transcurrido casi cuatro años y con un coste que triplica el previsto en un principio”. Así se ha expresado ante los medios de comunicación el portavoz del Grupo Municipal de Ciudadanos (Cs) en el Ayuntamiento de Almería, Miguel Cazorla, quien se ha mostrado “sorprendido” por las palabras del alcalde en las que afirma que estas obras van “a buen ritmo”. “Ya está bien de retrasos y ninguneos a los almerienses, que están más que hartos de las obras malditas que se eternizan”, ha manifestado.

Cazorla ha recordado que, ya en marzo de 2018, desde Ciudadanos “denunciamos que el convenio firmado entre el Ayuntamiento y el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente era injusto para nuestra ciudad y lesivo para nuestros bolsillos”. Así, ha señalado que la obra se licitó entonces por 2,4 millones de euros, adjudicándose finalmente por 1,3 millones, lo que supuso una baja temeraria del 38%. “Por si fuera poco, el Ayuntamiento tuvo que aportar entonces un millón de euros, mientras que las bajas temerarias se aplicarían exclusivamente a la parte cedida por el Estado; un absoluto despropósito que acabó con la empresa adjudicataria saliendo corriendo a los pocos meses de empezar la obra y dejando aquello empantanado”, ha afeado.
Como ha explicado el edil de la formación naranja, “el principal responsable de dicho despropósito es el PP”, ya que, cuando se firmó el convenio en julio de 2017, los populares gobernaban en el Gobierno de España y en el Ayuntamiento. No obstante, Cazorla también ha apuntado al actual Gobierno socialista de Pedro Sánchez, “que ha sido un pésimo gestor a la hora de retomar esta importantísima obra para Almería, con más retrasos acumulados y una total falta de explicaciones a la ciudadanía”. “En definitiva, con los retrasos y sobrecostes del paseo marítimo, como siempre, los almerienses perjudicados tanto por el PP como por el PSOE”, ha afirmado.

En ese sentido, Cazorla ha cuestionado que, la segunda adjudicación de la obra, se haya hecho con un presupuesto de ejecución superior a los 2,1 millones de euros. “Es decir, que si sumamos el cerca de millón y medio de euros de la primera adjudicación, a esos más de dos millones de euros de la segunda, tenemos un montante superior a tres millones; o sea, al final sale la broma por el triple de lo estipulado inicialmente”.
