En agosto de 2017 fue presentada la primera denuncia en el Ayuntamiento de El Ejido, y desde entonces se le han hecho llegar por el Registro, distintos escritos denunciando que una vecina tiene al menos tres perros y más de una decena de gatos, en su apartamento, con los inconvenientes que esto representa para la convivencia.

El hecho es que la Guardia Civil y la Policía Local se han personado en distintos momentos en la Urbanización a raíz de las quejas vecinales —la última vez este martes— pero la residente no les ha dejado pasar al interior de la vivienda, por lo que nunca se ha podido levantar acta de qué pasa dentro, o incluso de en qué condiciones están los animales, porque se trata de un apartamento.
La conflictiva vecina se limita a responder a los agentes, que es miembro de la asociación Corazones Felinos, con la que por cierto, colabora el Ayuntamiento de El Ejido, y que no les deja pasar a su “refugio animal”. Según el artículo 7 de la Ley de Propiedad Horizontal "Al propietario y al ocupante del piso o local no les está permitido desarrollar en él o en el resto del inmueble actividades prohibidas en los estatutos, que resulten dañosas para la finca o que contravengan las disposiciones generales sobre actividades molestas, insalubres, nocivas, peligrosas o ilícitas."

Según indican los vecinos afectados, se estudia plantear una denuncia en el juzgado de guardia contra esta mujer que ha convertido un tranquilo apartamento vacacional, en su zoológico particular, con los consiguiente ruidos y olores durante las 24 horas del día, todos los días del año, desde hace al menos cuatro.
