La portavoz del Grupo Socialista en el Ayuntamiento de Almería, Adriana Valverde, ha recorrido recientemente el barrio de El Alquián donde se están desarrollando en la actualidad obras por parte de la Diputación de Almería a propuesta del Ayuntamiento. En su visita, Valverde mantuvo varios encuentros con vecinos quienes le trasladaron que si bien las obras que se estaban ejecutando eran oportunas, “había otras zonas del barrio que también merecen actuaciones de mejora por parte del Ayuntamiento, y con urgencia”.

Adriana Valverde, quien estuvo acompañada por otros concejales socialistas, pudo comprobar cómo el parquecillo que se encuentra entre las calles Alborada y Magallanes “se encuentra totalmente abandonado sin mantenimiento”. Esa pequeña zona verde presenta árboles arrancados, suciedad, palmeras sin podar y otras deficiencias que, según la portavoz socialista, “el Ayuntamiento debería atender, porque se trata de una pequeña actuación que será muy bienvenida por quienes viven en las casas colindantes”.
De otro lado, la portavoz socialista pudo comprobar in situ una recurrente reivindicación de los residentes de la calle Aparejo donde, según ha explicado, “se requiere una mínima actuación por parte del Ayuntamiento para que los vehículos de emergencias como ambulancias o camiones de bomberos puedan atravesar esa vía, actualmente impracticable por la existencia de una zona estrecha y unos desniveles en el terreno”.

Otra petición de los vecinos de El Alquián recogida por la portavoz socialista en su visita al barrio, fue la de acondicionar para aparcamiento el solar donde se encuentra la oficina de Correos. Actualmente los coches aparcan ahí sin ningún tipo de orden y sobre un terreno desnivelado.

En último lugar, para la portavoz socialista, “es muy importante que el Ayuntamiento dé continuidad al actual carril bici de El Alquián para que pueda estar conectado con el de El Toyo, ya que la unión de los dos barrios no tiene esta vía específica para ciclistas y ese tramo resulta muy peligroso para sus usuarios”.
