Convenio CGUAL
Igualmente, el Ayuntamiento de Almería ha aprobado la prórroga, por el plazo de seis meses, del Convenio de Colaboración Interadministrativa suscrito con la Comunidad General de Usuarios de Aguas de la EDAR de Almería (CGUAL) para el suministro temporal de agua desalada para riego de terrenos ubicados en el ámbito de la concesión de aguas regeneradas de la EDAR de Almería, así como de aquellas que forman parte de la modificación del ámbito actualmente en trámite de acuerdo con las previsiones del Plan Hidrológico”.

Esta prórroga del convenio, suscrito entre ambas partes, el pasado 24 de septiembre, responde a la petición de CGUAL al mantenerse las condiciones de déficit hídrico para atender al riego de su ámbito de cobertura y agravado por la severa sequía que se está padeciendo.
El plazo de dicha prórroga comprenderá desde el día 25 de Marzo al 25 de Septiembre de 2022, ambos inclusive, convenio y prórroga que se efectúa, amparada en la Resolución de autorización temporal de aguas desaladas de fecha 16/12/2020 y expedida por la Delegada Territorial en Almería de la Consejería de Agricultura, Ganadería, Pesca y Desarrollo Sostenible de la Junta de Andalucía, mediante la cual se autoriza a la CGUAL la derivación temporal de un volumen máximo de 1,25 Hm3 de agua desalada procedentes de la Planta Desaladora de Almería, y cuya vigencia ha sido prorrogada por dicho órgano de la Administración Autonómica Andaluza, competente en materia de agua.
