El lujoso bergantín, de cuatro mástiles, realiza un recorrido por el Mediterráneo occidental
El próximo sábado hará escala por primera vez en el Puerto de Almería el lujoso crucero-velero ‘Star Flyer’. Está previsto que entre en el Muelle de Levante a las 11.30 horas, procedente de Málaga, y zarpará rumbo a Cartagena a las 17.00 horas. Al tratarse de la primera visita que realiza el barco a Almería, tendrá lugar un acto de bienvenida, con intercambio de placas conmemorativas.
El crucero, de la naviera Star Clippers, realiza un viaje de aventura de nueve días por el Mediterráneo occidental, con escalas en los puertos de Málaga, Almería, Cartagena, Ibiza, Menorca, Cagliari (Cerdeña), Isla de Gozo y La Valeta (Malta).
El ‘Star Flyer’ es un bergantín de 4 mástiles, construido como crucero de lujo y clasificado como el más alto de su categoría (el mástil más alto tiene 69 metros). Dispone de un amplio restaurante, 2 bares y biblioteca con chimenea, amplios espacios y cubiertas de teca que hacen que el pasajero se sienta como en un yate privado. Aunque el barco está motorizado, en este tipo de viajes, siempre que las condiciones lo permiten, se apagan lo motores y se despliegan casi 11.000 metros cuadrados de velas.
Con capacidad para 177 pasajeros y 74 tripulantes crucero, y 111 metros de eslora, navega con bandera de Malta. Durante su estancia en Almería será consignado por el Grupo López Guillén.
