El Servicio Andaluz de Salud (SAS) ha vuelto a reducir la demora media para acceder a una cita de Atención Primaria y, a 11 de abril de 2022, se mantiene en sólo 2 días de media. Desde el 31 de diciembre, momento en el que la demora media se situaba en más de cinco días, el descenso ha sido continuo.
El delegado territorial de Salud y Familias, Juan de la Cruz Belmonte, ha incidido en la labor de los profesionales de los centros de Atención Primaria así como el trabajo realizado por los equipos directivos de los centros, en coordinación con los distritos sanitarios de Almería, Poniente y Área Sanitaria Norte, de seguimiento de la demora que se realiza. Belmonte ha destacado la “apuesta firme y decidida del Gobierno andaluz por la Atención Primaria, como pone de manifiesto el incremento del 26 por ciento de profesionales sanitarios de media más en Almería desde el inicio de la actual legislatura".

Otra de las iniciativas puestas en marcha para mejorar la accesibilidad de este nivel asistencial es la consulta de acogida. Desde el 1 de enero de 2022, se han realizado un total de 11.137 consultas de acogida a un total de 10.162 usuarios. El 62,43% de todas las consultas fueron resueltas por los profesionales de enfermería.
En la gestión de las citas para Atención Primaria destaca igualmente el papel de Salud Responde que ha logrado que los andaluces valoren la satisfacción de este servicio como muy adecuada o adecuada en el 92,2% de los casos.

Desde el pasado mes de enero se ha venido impulsando el programa de mejora de la accesibilidad por cobertura excepcional de profesionales en Atención Primaria, mediante el cual, cuando un profesional se ausenta y no se encuentra otro que lo sustituya en la Bolsa Única de Empleo del SAS, se ofrece la posibilidad de cobertura de la actividad de dicho trabajador ausente por otro del centro en forma de atención extraordinaria. Así, los distritos de Atención Primaria lo están implementando para las categorías de médicos de familia, enfermería y pediatría, por un importe total cercano al millón de euros hasta el momento.
