La financiación concedida por el Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar en 2021 a través de créditos y préstamos a las empresas y familias generó impactos positivos en la economía española, ya que permiten un volumen mayor de consumo e inversión por parte de los solicitantes de dicha financiación. Estos impactos, que se estiman en 9.197,4 millones de euros de renta y en 160.390 empleos, aparecen recogidos en la publicación del Ivie ‘Impacto Económico del Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar 2021’, dirigida por Joaquín Maudos en colaboración con Eva Benages, Amadeo Fuenmayor y Rafael Granel, y muestran que, por cada euro de préstamos concedidos por el Grupo Cajamar al sector privado, se genera 1 euro de renta, y que por cada millón de euros de préstamos se crean 17,4 puestos de trabajo.

Además de los impactos económicos sobre la renta y el empleo, el informe también cuantifica el aumento de los ingresos para las arcas públicas en forma de impuestos y cotizaciones a la Seguridad Social. Para Joaquín Maudos, catedrático de la Universitat de València y director adjunto del Ivie, los resultados de este informe demuestran “la importante contribución del Grupo Cajamar a la generación de riqueza en la economía española.
