Un grupo de 50 jóvenes de Nuevas Generaciones de Almería ha participado hoy en una jornada lúdica que ha tenido lugar en Los Vélez, concretamente en el municipio de Vélez Blanco, donde han conocido de primera mano una de las “grandes maravillas” de la provincia, su impresionante castillo, ejemplo emblemático de la arquitectura del Renacimiento español.
Los jóvenes, acompañados por el portavoz del PP de Almería, Ramón Herrera, el vicesecretario de Infraestructuras y Movilidad, José Antonio García, la diputada provincial, Conce Pérez, la teniente alcalde de la localidad, Ana María López, y el presidente de NNGG en los Vélez, Diego Martínez, han realizado una visita guiada por el castillo en el que el Gobierno de Juanma Moreno va a invertir más de 9 millones de euros tal y como anunciaron en el mes de febrero las consejeras de Agricultura, Ganadería, Pesca y Desarrollo Sostenible, Carmen Crespo, y la de Cultura y Patrimonio Histórico, Patricia del Pozo.

Además ha destacado como gracias al Gobierno andaluz se recuperará la Torre del Homenaje y se reconstruirá el patio de honor que fue vendido en 1904 y que actualmente se encuentra en el Museo Metropolitano de Arte de Nueva York.

Por su parte el vicesecretario de Infraestructuras y Movilidad, José Antonio García, ha manifestado que tras la importante inversión que el PP va a llevar a cabo en el castillo, los jóvenes y mayores de los Vélez verán cumplido uno de sus sueños al poder conocer cómo era en realidad esta importante obra arquitectónica que cada años atrae a miles de turistas.

La teniente alcalde del Ayuntamiento de Vélez Blanco ha destacado el “orgullo” que siente como vecina del municipio al saber que por fin la Junta de Andalucía que preside Juanma Moreno va a llevar a cabo la rehabilitación del castillo que tantos años llevan demandando los vecinos de la localidad y de toda la comarca.

Por su parte, el presidente de NNGG de Los Vélez, Diego Martínez, ha recordado que los jóvenes de Los Vélez han tenido que espera a un gobierno del PP en la Junta “para ver cómo las reclamaciones de nuestros padres y abuelos se hacen realidad” y para que “por fin se reconozca el valor que tiene y se merece el castillo de Vélez Blanco”.
Diego Martínez la lamentado los años en los que las reclamaciones de los vecinos de Los Vélez no servían para nada porque el problema estaba en que “para el Partido Socialista de Andalucía no somos rentables”.
