ASAJA y Mapfre se reúnen para analizar las novedades de la nueva campaña de aseguramiento de las hortalizas de invernadero que se inicia el 1 de junio

Cara al inicio de la nueva campaña de contratación del seguro de hortalizas bajo cubierta que se inicia el próximo 1 de junio, ASAJA-Almería ha mantenido una reunión con representantes de Mapfre para analizar el estado del aseguramiento de las líneas que se encuentran actualmente en período de contratación y las principales novedades que trae la nueva campaña del seguro de hortalizas de invernadero, que es una de las de mayor importancia en la provincia y que en el plan de seguros anterior subió un 3,3% en la superficie asegurada.
Desde ASAJA se valora de forma positiva este incremento, si bien ha trasladado su preocupación por la falta de cobertura de una parte muy importante de los cultivos, pues apenas el 17% de la superficie se encuentra protegida, y señala que es fundamental una potenciación del papel que tienen los seguros agrarios como herramienta de protección ante fenómenos climáticos como el granizo o las inundaciones, que como estamos comprobando en las últimas semanas, y en determinados cultivos y zonas del país pueden ser muy dañinos. En el caso de los problemas en el cuaje derivados de la calima y la falta de luz, desde Mapfre se recordó que este daño está contemplado en la cobertura de restos de adversidades climáticas, por lo que aquellos que la tuvieran incluidas en sus pólizas podrían ser indemnizados al tratarse de un fenómeno que afectó de forma generalizada a la provincia.

Además, el Director de Desarrollo de Negocio del Seguro Agrario de Mapfre, Pedro Vicente Martín, ha señalado la importancia de dar a conocer, mediante un buen asesoramiento por parte de personal especializado como el que ofrecen los técnicos de ASAJA, de las coberturas que ofrece el seguro a los diferentes cultivos, ya que esta herramienta indemniza cada año con millones de euros a agricultores y ganaderos que han padecido pérdidas en sus cosechas.

Con el objetivo de potenciar la importancia del seguro agrario, desde ASAJA se van a llevar a cabo campañas informativas dirigidas a los agricultores y ganaderos para que mejoren el conocimiento de las coberturas ofrecidas en cada módulo para los diferentes riesgos. “El sistema de seguros agrarios permite reducir las pérdidas en la cosecha y en las plantaciones, las campañas son largas y el tiempo difícil de prever de ahí que dejar por ejemplo una estructura de invernadero sin asegurar es un riesgo económico muy elevado”, señala Adoración Blanque Secretaria General de ASAJA-Almería.

En estos momentos nos encontramos en la recta final para poder contratar el módulo P, que es el que se hace durante la primavera, para el almendro, teniendo los agricultores hasta el próximo día 15 para poder hacerlo. También este mes de mayo finaliza la posibilidad de asegurar el cereal frente a daños como el pedrisco, por lo que en ASAJA aconsejamos que no corran riesgos en este final de la primavera que aún puede depararnos sorpresas desagradables.
