En cuanto a la evolución trimestral destaca la recuperación en el número de empresas durante el primer trimestre de 2022 respecto al mismo trimestre de 2020, alcanzándose un valor próximo a los niveles anteriores a la pandemia, aunque inferior, siendo la diferencia relativa respecto al primer trimestre de 2019 de -2,3%.

Analizando los resultados según el sector de actividad al que pertenecen las empresas, los crecimientos más acusados en el número de empresas en términos relativos se producen en los sectores Actividades artísticas, recreativas y de entretenimiento (19,3%), Hostelería (13,3%) y Transporte y almacenamiento (10,2%). Por otra parte, los sectores que decrecen respecto al mismo mes del año anterior son Industrias extractivas (-5,1%), Agricultura, ganadería, silvicultura y pesca (-2,2%), Suministro de agua, actividades de saneamiento, gestión de residuos y descontaminación (-1,9%) y Actividades de los hogares como empleadores de personal doméstico y como productores de bienes y servicios para uso propio (-1,8%).

Por último, si observamos la situación del número de empresas según su naturaleza jurídica, son las sociedades de responsabilidad limitada las que registran un mayor incremento en términos relativos con respecto al mismo mes del año anterior (5,1% y 5.065 empresas más).
