Así lo ha calificado el alcalde, Manuel Cortés, que ha calificado el proyecto como “importante e ilusionante” para Adra, al tratarse de un espacio en el que “se beneficia toda la ciudadanía y acoge la mayor parte de la oferta cultural y de ocio municipal”. Cabe recordar que con estas actuaciones de rehabilitación de este espacio escénico, su estructura se verá reforzada, mejorará en eficiencia energética y funcionamiento, se remodelará físicamente el edificio para hacerlo accesible a todos los usuarios y usuarias, y mejorará sus condiciones acústicas, suelos, butacas, paredes, techos y, además, se beneficiará de una remodelación global de las fachadas.

Asimismo, estas obras, que se ejecutarán en base al proyecto redactado por J2 Arquitectos, consistirán en la remodelación de la fachada principal, así como de la fachada secundaria de la plaza Alfonso Arcas. De igual manera, se procederá a la ampliación de vestíbulos de acceso, la adaptación de un local con posibilidad de convertirse en cafetería-ambigú, la adaptación de salas polivalentes, la instalación de un ascensor accesible y la reforma del patio de butacas. Otras de las actuaciones recogidas en el proyecto es la sustitución de luminarias en zonas de circulación y de elementos de distribución de climatización, además de la adaptación del escenario y sustitución de equipo de sonido.

La remodelación de los aseos principales del edificio, la sustitución de las unidades de climatización del patio de butacas y la rehabilitación e impermeabilización de la cubierta general completan el listado de actuaciones a realizar. Además, cabe destacar que, según recoge el proyecto, el nuevo Centro Cultural contará con una pantalla LED de gran formato en la fachada principal y un proyector de alta definición en la fachada de la Plaza Alfonso Arcas. En definitiva, el Centro Cultural contará con una mayor eficiencia energética, accesibilidad y competitividad.
