El Ayuntamiento de Huércal-Overa ha reforzado la seguridad de las pedanías con la instalación de cámaras de seguridad en diferentes puntos estratégicos con el objetivo de controlar actos vandálicos, robos, tráfico, etc. El alcalde, Domingo Fernández, junto al concejal de pedanías, Andrés Sánchez, y el Subinspector de la Policía Local, Cristóbal Artero, y técnicos municipales han visitado los distintos puntos en los que se han instalado estas cámaras.
En total son ya 12 las cámaras que se han ubicado en distintas zonas de las pedanías, tomando como referencia las zonas que han tenido mayor incidencia de actos incívicos, con el objetivo de “ofrecer seguridad a todos los vecinos de nuestro término municipal, sumándose a la treintena que ya están instaladas en el municipio”, detalló el alcalde, Domingo Fernández.

Desde la Policía local destacan que la instalación de las cámaras está cumpliendo con el objetivo marcado ya que a través de las mismas se han podido ya controlar situaciones que hubieran derivado en posibles robos, a la vez que el tráfico rodado en la zona con el reconocimiento de vehículos implicados en las mencionadas acciones.

La instalación de estas cámaras se enmarca en el plan de actuación de mejora de seguridad ciudadana que se irán ampliando según las necesidades de las distintas zonas y las necesidades de video vigilancia en las mismas. Enmarcado en este plan se han renovado también las 30 cámaras que formaban parte hasta la fecha del sistema de vídeo vigilancia del municipio, ofreciendo las nuevas más detalle que las antiguas y permitiendo tener una imagen más nítida, a la vez que cuentan con compatibilidad con el sistema de reconocimiento de matriculas en los accesos al municipio.
