El Ayuntamiento de Roquetas de Mar afronta este año con el objetivo de hacer realidad importantes proyectos de especial relevancia para el desarrollo y crecimiento del municipio. El actual presupuesto municipal para 2022, que cuenta con una partida de 111.118.461,12 euros, incluye una serie de actuaciones que, sin duda, se han convertido en prioridad para el actual equipo de Gobierno en aras de llevar a cabo una gestión centrada en la mejora los servicios e infraestructuras de la ciudad para continuar con el proceso de transformación que Roquetas de Mar ha experimentado en los últimos años.
En concreto, el presupuesto de 2022 contempla la ejecución de la conexión de la carretera de Alicún con la Avenida Reino de España, cuya inversión alcanza los 2.059.707,36 euros, el proyecto de la Rambla San Antonio, que cuenta con un presupuesto de 14.165.393,15 euros, la ampliación de la Residencia de Mayores Virgen del Rosario, que supondrá un coste de 6.638.899,01 euros y, la ampliación de la calle Santander, cuya inversión alcanza un importe de 1.836.230,58 euros.

El proyecto de conexión de la carretera de Alicún con la Avenida Reino de España contempla la ejecución de un acceso directo a Las Salinas desde la Variante. La intervención proyectada, consistente en la ejecución de un nuevo vial desde la glorieta existente en la carretera Alicún-Roquetas de Mar, hasta la nueva glorieta, en la Avenida Reino de España, con la ejecución de un puente sobre la Rambla el Vínculo y la ampliación de la obra de fábrica existente aguas arriba para la ejecución de un carril directo, con una anchura total de 6,50 m, desde el ramal de penetración de la Variante de Roquetas de Mar (ramal A-1051 R2) a la carretera de Alicún. Por otro lado, se ejecutará un puente sobre la Rambla El Vínculo, con arcén, zona peatonal en ambos sentidos y dos carriles

En el segundo de los tramos se actuará entre el Paseo de los Olmos, el Paseo de las Acacias y el Paseo de los Castaños para continuar con un tercer tramo, está delimitado entre el Paseo de los Olmos, el Paseo de las Acacias, el Paseo de los Castaños y el Paseo Marítimo. Este tramo finaliza antes de llegar al Dominio Público Marítimo Terrestre, para que la rambla vuelva a surgir como desagua en la actualidad.

El proyecto de ampliación de la calle Santander abarca el tramo comprendido desde el cruce con Avenida Juan Bonachera hasta Avenida José Amat Benavides. El objetivo de esta actuación es renovar toda la red de abastecimiento y saneamiento, la ejecución de nuevas conexiones, la renovación de las acometidas domiciliarias y la creación de una red separativa de fluviales. El proyecto de ampliación y reforma, contempla dos fases bien diferencias y supondrá la creación de 66 nuevas plazas. En la primera de ellas, se define un edificio de nueva planta que, amplia de forma considerable la capacidad del centro. La ampliación supone la construcción de una nueva ala, comunicada con la existente formando un anillo completo.
Entre las actuaciones más importantes del futuro edificio, destaca la medicalización de las habitaciones en la planta primera del nuevo edificio permitiendo su total sectorización que, en caso de producirse un brote, permite su acotación y control. En la segunda fase, está previsto la reforma de las instalaciones existentes que pasan por la rehabilitación energética consistente en la sustitución de la climatización actual y dotación de equipos de ventilación con filtros para evitar los contagios debido a la crisis sanitaria provocada por el Covid-19.
