Este servicio -que empezará a prestarse por los adjudicatarios a partir del 1 de julio- es clave para los usuarios de las estaciones y en general para los ciudadanos o residentes en el entorno de las estaciones, dada su ubicación central en muchas ciudades, así como para potenciar una red territorial con las principales empresas del sector.
Nuevo modelo de explotación comercial y mix renta fija-variable
Adif y Adif AV han introducido en este proceso nuevas condiciones, que han surgido a partir de benchmarking con el sector, permitiendo la incorporación de nuevos operadores y, con ello, una mayor oferta y más competitiva para los usuarios de las estaciones y el ferrocarril.

Por el desarrollo de esta actividad, Adif y Adif AV recibirán una renta fija de 39,8 millones de euros durante los próximos cinco años. Este importe se completará con una renta variable, que representará entre el 3% y el 4,5% de la facturación del operador en cada estación. El importe de licitación fue de 20,8 millones de euros.
Este mix renta fija-variable forma parte del nuevo modelo de explotación comercial y permite la participación de los administradores de infraestructura en los resultados del negocio, generando sinergias positivas entre Adif, Adif AV y los operadores de rent a car.

La actividad de alquiler de vehículos sin conductor responde a un nuevo modelo de explotación comercial de Adif y Adif AV, que va a transformar las estaciones de viajeros en centros de vida en un entorno de movilidad sostenible, y se enmarca en el Proyecto Ecomilla; una iniciativa que tiene como objetivo la creación de áreas de cero emisiones en torno a las estaciones.
Para el desarrollo del Proyecto Ecomilla, se ha iniciado un proceso de dialogo con distintos agentes de la movilidad -asociaciones, empresas y administraciones locales con competencias en este ámbito-, con el objetivo de conocer y analizar sus necesidades en este contexto de transformación de las estaciones en nodos de movilidad sostenibles.

En el marco de este proyecto, Adif y Adif AV desarrollan diversas iniciativas, entre las que destacan:
§ la implantación de puntos de recarga en aparcamientos de 80 estaciones de viajeros para promover el uso del vehículo eléctrico en el transporte de última y primera milla.
