Lógicamente, nuestra provincia requiere de soluciones para dotar de agua a todas las Comarcas, tal y cómo hemos venido haciendo a través de diferentes vías como la reutilización, desalación… así que las concesiones y los derechos del agua (Edar, pozos, llegada de agua desalada para riego en comarcas como la de Níjar…) es esta la cuestión de mayor relevancia. Por tanto, una vez conseguidos esos asuntos, una actuación provincial sería llevar a cabo la tan ansiada y necesaria 'Autovía del Agua de Almería' para poder trasladar de un lado a otro de la provincia la cantidad que se necesite en momentos de escasez para unas zonas cuando desde otras pueda albergarse más agua.

La defensa de los trasvases del Tajo-Segura y del Negratín- Almanzora siguen siendo claves para nuestra provincia. La consejera Crespo ya ha mostrado su punto de vista. Lo compartimos y deseamos que siga en esa línea reivindicativa.
La llegada del agua de Rules también es una demanda que los regantes almerienses venimos realizando desde hace décadas. Y siempre, repetimos, hablamos de los excedentes (cuantificados en cerca de 90 hectómetros cúbicos) que resultarían tras atender las producciones de nuestros compañeros de la zona de Granada. Un agua que serviría no para ampliar zonas de regadío, sino para la recarga de acuíferos y para la mejora medioambiental de la provincia, entre otros aspectos.

También, en esta legislatura del 'Agua' tal y como ha dicho el presidente de la Junta de Andalucía, Juan Manuel Moreno, hay que adelantar en los proyectos técnicos de Concesión de aguas regeneradas y la ampliación de su concesión de las EDAR de Roquetas de Mar, El Ejido. La aplicación de Tratamiento Terciario a las EDAR en funcionamiento de los núcleos de Balerma, Berja, Dalías, Félix y Enix. Estas EDAR no cuentan con tratamiento terciario, y sus vertidos se realizan a cauces públicos siendo necesaria la mejora de sus afluentes, pues en general se infiltran en el terreno y debían de ser considerados dentro de la actuación “Recarga artificial del campo de dalias 2ª fase” que forma parte de las medidas propuestas para un futuro inmediato. A los que habría que sumar el aprovechamiento de las aguas pluviales superficiales de la zona minera de Carcauz (La Mojonera), la recarga del Acuífero Escama de Balsa Nueva, utilizando la Conducción de Benínar, y mediante la prolongación de la tubería existente. Así como desde la zona del Río Adra se hace necesaria la instalación de la tubería de conexión y suministro de agua desde Benínar. También, ante las necesidades de la zona, la posible construcción de una desaladora que pudiera comenzar aportando una cantidad cercana a los 6 hectómetros cúbicos.

Recordar también que en el caso de la Comarca de Níjar se hace indispensable poder poner agua de la desaladora Mar de Alborán a disposición los agricultores de Níjar. Hablamos de una desaladora privada, que necesita para su funcionamiento de la administración y para que los agricultores tengan acceso a esa agua es fundamental la concesión de esas aguas públicas. Un aspecto que, además, es fundamental para solventar los problemas que arrastra el acuífero de la zona.

Para finalizar, nos parece necesario recordar que la Mesa del Agua está formada por la Federación de Regantes de Almería (FERAL), Aguas de Almanzora SA, Junta Central de Usuarios de Aguas del Valle del Almanzora, Comunidad de Usuarios de la Comarca de Níjar (CUCN), Comunidad General de Usuarios de Aguas Depuradas (CGUAL), Junta Central de Usuarios del Poniente Almeriense, Junta Central de Usuarios de Adra, Asociación de Regantes de Andalucía (AREDA), Regantes de Almería (REGA), las organizaciones agrarias ASAJA, COAG y UPA, ASEMPAL, Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Técnicos Agrícolas de Almería y Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Agrónomos de Almería.
Y que nuestros objetivos pasan por promover, recomendar e impulsar toda clase de acciones que tengan por objeto la mejora en la gestión integral del ciclo del agua en la provincia, articular el buen uso de sus recursos hídricos y procurar la armonización de los diversos intereses económicos y sociales. Además, recogemos cuantas iniciativas parten de todos los sectores sociales de la provincia de Almería, públicos y privados, encaminadas a solucionar los problemas derivados de la limitación del desarrollo de la provincia por la escasez de recursos hídricos.
