El número de turistas que visitó Andalucía en el segundo trimestre de 2022 alcanzó los ocho millones novecientos mil, según los resultados de la Encuesta de Coyuntura Turística de Andalucía que realiza trimestralmente el Instituto de Estadística y Cartografía de Andalucía (IECA), lo que supone un aumento del 132,2%1 con respecto al mismo trimestre de 2021.

Durante este período, de los turistas que visitaron Andalucía, el 35,2% eran andaluces, el 31,4% eran del resto de España, el 26,5% procedían de la UE (excluida España) y Reino Unido, y el 6,9% del resto del mundo.
El 86,4% de los turistas que visitaron Andalucía lo hicieron por vacaciones, el 8,3% para visitar a familiares y amigos, el 2,5% por trabajo o negocios y el 2,8% restante alegaron otras motivaciones.

En el segundo trimestre de 2022, el 65,3% de los viajeros se alojó en establecimientos hoteleros, mientras que el 28,1% utilizó apartamento, piso o chalet. Por otra parte, la estancia media, o número de días que por término medio permanece un turista en Andalucía, se situó en 5,1 días, un 15,9% más que un año antes.
En cuanto a la distribución de los turistas por provincias, Málaga concentró el 26,9% de los mismos, seguida de Cádiz, Sevilla y Granada con el 16,5%, 14,4% y 12,1%, respectivamente.

El gasto medio diario que realizaron los turistas en Andalucía en el segundo trimestre se estima en 72,03 euros por turista, cifra que es mayor en un 4,3% a la del mismo trimestre del año anterior. La procedencia del turista establece diferencias en este gasto, que varía desde los 65,92 euros que gastaron los turistas andaluces hasta los 89,55 euros que gastaron los procedentes del resto del mundo.

En cuanto a la valoración, de uno a diez, del viaje realizado, los turistas que visitaron Andalucía durante el trimestre, concedieron un 8,4 a su estancia en la región. Las provincias más valoradas fueron Almería y Cádiz, con un 8,8, y Córdoba y Jaén con un 8,7. Los aspectos mejor valorados por los visitantes fueron los relacionados con la atención y el trato, los paisajes y parques naturales, la seguridad y el patrimonio cultural.
