El Festival de Música Tradicional de La Alpujarra ha regresado hoy con fuerzas e ilusiones renovadas después de dos años de espera como consecuencia de la pandemia. El municipio de Dalías ha acogido la XXXIX edición de este evento que ha cumplido 40 años en su labor de divulgar y preservar las tradiciones de La Alpujarra de las provincias de Almería y Granada.

Este acontecimiento sociocultural se erige en una de las expresiones de carácter popular y costumbrista más consolidadas y destacadas en el conjunto de toda Andalucía. Miles de personas han disfrutado de las actuaciones de los grupos, del encuentro entre municipios y de otras actividades como la Feria de Artesanos y Productores alpujarreños. En el Festival han participado 29 grupos, 14 de Almería y 15 de Granada, con cerca de 500 personas sobre el escenario a lo largo de toda la jornada.
En el evento han intervenido el diputado de Cultura y Cine, Manuel Guzmán; el alcalde de Dalías, Francisco Lirola; el delegado de Salud en funciones de la Junta, Juan de la Cruz; el diputado provincial de Granada, Juan Antonio Palomino y el presidente de la Asociación Cultural Abuxarra, Adolfo García. Entre el público se encontraban también alcaldes y representantes institucionales de diferentes municipios de ambas provincias.

El diputado ha felicitado a la organización y a todas las instituciones que hacen posible el festival y ha añadido que “no hay nada más bonito que poner en valor y luchar por hacer patente nuestras tradiciones, cultura y formas de entender la vida. La música tradicional de de La Alpujarra supone acordarnos de nuestros antepasados, de todo lo que nos ha hecho ser lo que somos. Esta cultura son cantes que pasan de padres a hijos. Sin el esfuerzo de todos los grupos de cada uno de los municipios se habrían perdido”.
El alcalde del municipio anfitrión ha dado la bienvenida a los participantes y al público, y ha apuntado que “en los dos últimos años no hemos podido disfrutar del festival, pero hoy lo estamos haciendo con todas las ganas, recuperando ese tiempo que hemos tenido que vivir de esa forma. Deseo que disfrutéis muchísimo de este día en Dalías y que siga el telón abierto para la música y el baile”.

El delegado de Salud en funciones ha afirmado que “la herramienta más importante que tenemos para seguir creciendo es la Cultura, que es el alma de los pueblos. Este festival es una muestra de las tradiciones de nuestra tierra, que no podemos dejar morir". De la Cruz Belmonte ha confesado que para él "es un orgullo cuando ve estos bailes en los que personas de distintas generaciones se dan la mano y danzan bajo un mismo son: un espíritu intergeneracional capaz de unir a personas de la tercera edad, con gente de la infancia. Todo un ejemplo a seguir."

El diputado provincial de Granada ha manifestado que “hoy en Dalías recuperamos este festival que recoge la esencia en forma de vida que se transmite a través de la música, la forma de vida de este territorio singular y tan reconocido en el resto de España y el mundo entero. El festival está viva y la gente de Dalías ama su cultura y la de La Alpujarra”.
Por último, Adolfo García ha recordado los objetivos fundacionales de la Asociación Abuxara porque, como ha especificado, siguen más vigentes que nunca: “estrechar los lazos de La Alpujarra de Almería y Granada, divulgar sus raíces culturales, promocionar todo aquello que redunde en una mejora en la calidad de vida de los alpujarreños, apoyar actividades encaminadas a preservar el patrimonio cultural, histórico y artístico e inmaterial, y promover el intercambio entre todos los territorios de la tierra”. Y ha elogiado el trabajo de las personas que le han precedido al frente de la Asociación.

Además, el Ayuntamiento ha rendido un homenaje a José Criado Fernández, por su contribución al mundo del trovo, y a Isabel Jiménez Péramo, por su constante trabajo de recuperación de la música tradicional de Dalías, con el grupo La Garita. Por otro lado, todos los grupos participantes han recibido un trofeo como recuerdo de su participación que reproduce La Garita, patrimonio histórico de Dalías.
El festival cuenta con la organización de la Asociación Cultural Abuxarra y el Ayuntamiento de Dalías como anfitrión. Cada año se constituye una Comisión Organizadora, presidida por el Presidente de Abuxarra y el Alcalde del Ayuntamiento anfitrión, en la que hay representantes de las diferentes entidades patrocinadoras y colaboradoras como las Diputaciones Provinciales de Almería y Granada, la Delegación Territorial de la Consejería de Cultura de la Junta de Andalucía, de los Ayuntamientos Alpujarreños de Almería y Granada, de la Asociación Cultural Abuxarra, de la Comisión Local y de los Grupos de música participantes.
