Precisamente, entre este panel de expertos y actores económicos, ha estado José Caparrós, consejero delegado de la empresa almeriense Primaflor, como ponente en la mesa redonda ‘La importancia de los corredores en el desarrollo de las empresas de Andalucía’, Caparrós se ha referido a la ingente cantidad de camiones que salen de la provincia de Almería (más de 3000 al día) y ha señalado que la actual logística es inviable; lo es en todos los aspectos; y por eso el Corredor Mediterráneo es vital para las empresas de almerienses que claramente apuestan por la intermodalidad. Ha sido rotundo al asegurar que por el corredor Mediterráneo pasa el futuro de muchas empresas de la provincia.
El consejero delegado de Primaflor ha señalado que los Corredores Central y Mediterráneo son compatibles y ha insistido en que éste último por ahorro de tiempo de viaje y reducción de huella de carbono, entre otras razones, es cuestión de supervivencia para la actividad de la provincia de Almería.

Por todo ello, se hace necesario impulsar la Red Transeuropea del Transporte con la ejecución de los corredores ferroviarios previstos por la UE para Andalucía, que contempla el desarrollo de la necesaria conexión Granada-Almería y el ramal que integre al puerto de Motril.
