La Autoridad Portuaria de Almería (APA) ha adjudicado a la unión temporal de empresas GrupoCopsa-Transformaciones y Embalses Parra el estudio de alternativas y proyecto constructivo de la pasarela que conectará a tierra el duque de alba del Puerto de Carboneras. La conexión se hará con el muelle de Ribera I, de la Terminal Pública de la APA. Los duques de alba son estructuras aisladas en el mar, que sirven para dar apoyo lateral y amarre a los buques.

La presidenta de la APA, María del Rosario Soto, y el gerente de la UTE, Alfonso Carlos Novis, han firmado el contrato para la construcción de la infraestructura que deberá estar finalizada en un plazo de seis meses, con una inversión de 1.630.231 euros (impuestos incluidos).
Una vez que se conecte a tierra dicha infraestructura, la Terminal Pública podrá acoger el atraque de embarcaciones, y ampliar así la oferta de tráfico de mercancías, según ha destacado la presidenta de la APA, María del Rosario Soto, quien ha reiterado su apuesta por el Puerto de Carboneras para conseguir que los puertos de interés general que gestiona la APA se conviertan en una gran plataforma logística de la provincia, “que genere empleo y riqueza”.

Características técnicas
El objetivo de la pasarela es salvar la distancia de casi 80 metros que existe entre el duque de alba y el muelle de Ribera I, mediante una mota de relleno y una pasarela de estructura de hormigón. La pasarela será tratada como un puente ya que deberá soportar el paso de un vehículo pesado por uno de sus viales y por el otro se instalarán las conducciones para las diferentes instalaciones.

La pasarela contará con dos zonas diferenciadas. Una primera parte, de unos 42 metros aproximadamente, para la que se realizará un relleno de todo uno y escolleras. Y la segunda parte, de mayor profundidad, que se acometerá mediante un tablero de vigas prefabricadas doble ‘T’ de hormigón pretensado. El ancho total del tablero será de 9,30 metros.
