A partir del martes, día 31 de enero, entra en vigor la reducción, en un cincuenta por ciento, que se aplicará al precio de los abonos y tarjetas mensuales del servicio municipal de autobús urbano que se presta a través de Alsa-Surbus. Una bonificación que estará vigente al menos durante el primer semestre del año y de la que, con carácter retroactivo desde el día 1, también podrán beneficiarse aquellos usuarios que a lo largo de este mes hayan adquirido alguno de los abonos y tarjetas a los que se aplica esta medida.

Nos acogemos así, como aprobamos ayer en Junta de Gobierno, al Real Decreto-Ley por el que se establecen bonificaciones especiales sobre las tarifas vigentes para el transporte colectivo. En la apuesta municipal por el transporte público y la movilidad sostenible que venimos haciendo, desde el Ayuntamiento asumiremos el 20% adicional de rebaja al descuento del 30% que se empezó a aplicar desde septiembre de 2022, tras acogerse también el Consistorio al anterior decreto del Gobierno.
Con cargo al presupuesto de este año, ya en vigor, el Ayuntamiento dispondrá de la aportación económica necesaria, unos 300.000 euros, para asumir la aplicación del descuento. Y todo ello a la espera de no encontrarnos una ‘letra pequeña’ por parte del gobierno de Pedro Sánchez que suponga un nuevo quebranto a las cuentas locales, que son las que, en primera instancia, tienen que soportar las decisiones gubernamentales.

Con la entrada en vigor de la bonificación, el bonobús ordinario de diez viajes pasará de los 7,4 euros actuales a 3,70, mientras que la tarjeta mensual de uso libre rebaja su precio de los 32,55 a los 16,30 euros. La medida, que no incluye el precio de los billetes de ida y vuelta, beneficia también los abonos y tarjetas de transporte de estudiantes y pensionistas quienes, en este último caso, podrán adquirir un abono de diez viajes por 1,45 euros en lugar de 2,9 euros. Para los estudiantes, el Bonobús Universitario de diez viajes pasa a 2,80 euros frente a los 5,55 actuales, mientras que la bonificación de la tarjeta mensual de Estudiantes rebaja su precio de 27,6 euros hasta los 13,80. La tarjeta mensual Estudiante 10 pasa de 11,9 a 5,95 euros. Lo dijimos, y lo mantenemos, el Ayuntamiento tomará las medidas necesarias que permitan aliviar el bolsillo de los almerienses e impulsará el uso del transporte público para movernos por la ciudad para mejorar aún más la calidad del aire que respiramos.
