La Mesa del Tren ve un "agravio comparativo" entre un "AVE directo" Sevilla-Málaga y la "pésima" red de Almería
La Mesa en Defensa del Ferrocarril de Almería ha señalado este miércoles el "agravio comparativo" que supone plantear un "AVE directo" entre las ciudades de Málaga y Sevilla, que permitiría su conexión en unos 50 minutos, frente al "servicio ferroviario de pésima calidad" y "escasos destinos" con los que cuenta Almería. Por ello, han instado al presidente de la Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, a que "sume voluntades políticas con el Gobierno de España y traiga soluciones a esta tierra, que falta nos hace". Esto se ha dado tras las afirmaciones del líder del Ejecutivo autonómico sobre que el Gobierno andaluz trabaja en un "proyecto ambicioso" para el que ofrece "recursos propios" de la Administración autonómica de cara a impulsar la conexión entre la capital andaluza y la ciudad malagueña.

Sin embargo, desde la plataforma ciudadana han señalado que "creemos que ahora mismo Sevilla y Málaga están lo suficientemente bien conectadas a través de trenes Alvia". Por lo tanto, la posible conexión de Alta Velocidad entre ambas ciudades supone un "agravio comparativo" frente a los "problemas de movilidad ferroviaria" de Almería. Por este motivo, instan al presidente de la Junta de Andalucía a sumar esfuerzos con el Gobierno de España para solucionar este problema.
El portavoz de la Mesa, José Carlos Tejada, ha señalado que "el escenario ferroviario almeriense sigue siendo malo no, pésimo", ya que todavía hay problemas para comunicar la ciudad con otras ciudades como Granada o Sevilla, a las que se tardan "cinco horas y media en llegar". Por ello, ha instado al Presidente de la Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, a que piense "en todas las provincias andaluzas ferroviariamente hablando y sobre todo en aquellas provincias donde todavía estamos pasando muy mal el tema de la movilidad".

Los miembros de la Mesa han observado que "tanto Málaga como Sevilla tienen desde hace muchos años Alta Velocidad" y "tienen Cercanías", por lo que han pedido una "solución más práctica" para "garantizar la vertebración ferroviaria en todo el territorio andaluz", que pase por recuperar el eje andaluz ferroviario que quedó paralizado en el año 2009. Esta solución debería permitir vertebrar Andalucía ferroviariamente entre Almería y Huelva, según han destacado desde la Mesa.

La Mesa ha reclamado a la Junta de Andalucía inversiones en materia de Cercanías para Almería, ya que el reciente convenio firmado para "ampliar la línea 3 del metro de Sevilla con millones de euros" muestra que cuenta con los recursos para hacerlo. Han recordado que el tren de Cercanías de Santa Fe, que lleva años con las infraestructuras necesarias para estar operativo, sigue sin echar a andar.
Además, también se han referido a los "problemas de movilidad" del Poniente almeriense, una zona que está colapsada por el tránsito de hasta 120.000 vehículos diarios. Los miembros de la Mesa han señalado que el Plan de Transporte y Movilidad de Andalucía (Pitma) no contempla ni siquiera un pequeño comentario o párrafo sobre la posibilidad de un futuro corredor ferroviario para mejorar la situación.
