El subdelegado del Gobierno, José María Martín, ha inaugurado esta tarde las jornadas ‘Ni raras ni diferentes: Ponte en su piel’, celebrada en la residencia de grandes dependientes de la FAAM con motivo de la conmemoración del Día Mundial de las Enfermedades Raras, que tendrá lugar el próximo 28 de febrero.

Martín Fernández se ha referido a las personas con patologías infrecuentes y sus familias como un ejemplo de “perseverancia” y una referencia de “dignidad, de valor y de fuerza” y ha señalado que el Gobierno de España avanza en una estrategia frente a las enfermedades poco frecuentes que sitúe a los pacientes y sus familias en el centro de las acciones, con una implantación homogénea en todo el territorio.
El subdelegado del Gobierno ha subrayado la inversión de 70 millones de euros para la mejora de la atención sanitaria a pacientes con patologías infrecuentes que contemplan los Presupuestos Generales del Estado para 2023, de los que 20 millones se destinarán a la investigación de estas enfermedades, que afectan a un 8% de la población.
