El Ayuntamiento de Almería no ha podido continuar con la instalación de contenedores soterrados en la calle Antonio González Egea debido a la aparición de restos arqueológicos, según el acta de la Junta de Gobierno consultada por Noticias de Almería. Aún no se ha recibido un dictamen de la Delegación Territorial de Cultura sobre si deben ser conservados o si el Consistorio puede seguir adelante con los trabajos.

El Ayuntamiento ha ordenado una cuarta suspensión temporal de los trabajos arqueológicos en el lugar donde se encontraron restos en febrero. Un informe elaborado por el arqueólogo contratado será enviado a Cultura. Según la ley, los trabajos deben paralizarse hasta que la Delegación se pronuncie y los restos deben conservarse en el lugar del hallazgo. Si es necesario, la suspensión de los trabajos puede extenderse por más de dos meses y la Consejería deberá indemnizar a la empresa contratada por cualquier daño causado por la paralización.

De acuerdo con el acta de la Junta de Gobierno, se ha aprobado una cuarta suspensión temporal en la que las paralizaciones no superan los dos meses. Por lo tanto, no habrá indemnización para la empresa Facto, que fue adjudicataria de estas obras y también de la contenerización en plaza Masnou.
