La Comarca de Níjar está ya preparada para celebrar la Semana Santa. Dada la extensión de este municipio, un total de nueve núcleos acogerán distintas celebraciones si bien será la Villa de Níjar la que congregue el mayor número de actos. Así este viernes, 31 de marzo, arrancará con la lectura del pregón a cargo de Josefa Montoya Asensio, ex hermana Mayor de la Hermandad de Santa María, a partir de las 21 horas. El sábado se dará traslado del Corazón de Jesús al Barrio de Las Eras para su velatorio (20,30h) y el domingo los actos centrales comenzarán a las cinco de la tarde con la Bendición de Palmas y Ramas de Olivo en La Glorieta, seguida de la Procesión del Domingo de Ramos y Santa Misa.
El día 6, tendrá lugar la Procesión de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno y la Santísima Virgen de los Dolores (18,30h) y Vía Crucis Procesional por las calles del barrio de Las Eras (24h).

La Procesión del Santo Entierro y la Santísima Virgen de los Dolores comenzará a las 18,30 horas del día 7 mientras que a medianoche del día 8 tendrá lugar la Procesión del Encuentro de Jesús Resucitado y su Santísima Madre. Los actos concluirán el domingo con una misa de Resurrección.
En San Isidro arranca la Semana Santa el día 1 con una Procesión Infantil mientras el domingo, 2, se celebrará la Bendición de los Ramos en la Ermita de Los Montes y Procesión hacia la Iglesia parroquial para celebrar la Santa Misa.
