El Puerto de Almería recibirá este sábado 15 de abril el primer crucero de la temporada 2023; en concreto será el Star Flyer, de la naviera Star Clippers y con capacidad para 177 pasajeros además de la tripulación, el que inaugurará la dársena almeriense este año. El barco proveniente de Málaga y que tendrá como destino final La Valetta (Malta) es un bergantín de cuatro mástiles, construido como crucero de lujo, y se clasifica como el más alto de su categoría con una altura máxima de mástil de 69 metros.

La del yate-crucero Star Flyer será la primera de las 26 escalas que las navieras han programado en el Puerto de Almería para el presente ejercicio, un 85,7% más que en 2022, con una capacidad total para 11.143 pasajeros.
Nueve barcos turísticos atracarán por primera vez en la ciudad; estos son el Sea Cloud I, Seadream II, Marella Voyager, Ocean Odyssey, Seven Seas Voyager, World Navigator, Seabourn Ovation, Seadream I y el MS Nautica. “Para la Autoridad Portuaria de Almería es una buena noticia que las navieras apuesten por el puerto almeriense y los cruceristas puedan conocer la gran oferta turística y gastronómica de la ciudad, que recordemos fue Capital de la Gastronomía Española en 2019 y que cuenta con unos paisajes impresionantes como el del Parque Natural Cabo de Gata o lugares emblemáticos como el conjunto monumental de la Alcazaba o la Catedral”, señala la presidenta de la APA, Rosario Soto, quien destaca el trabajo de la Fundación Bahía Almeriport para la promoción de Almería como destino de cruceros junto al Ayuntamiento de Almería y la Diputación Provincial.

Septiembre y noviembre, con cinco escalas respectivamente, son los meses que más visitas recibirá el puerto almeriense durante esta temporada, que cerrará el 14 de diciembre el Ocean Odyssey de la naviera Vantage Cruise Line, crucero que como el Wind Surf y el Seabourn Sojourn visitarán en cuatro ocasiones las instalaciones portuarias este año.

Respecto al presente mes de abril está previsto el atraque de cuatro cruceros con más de 900 pasajeros, entre los que se encuentra el Sea Cloud I de la naviera Sea Cloud Cruises, que visitará el Puerto de Almería por primera vez el próximo 25 de abril, con entrada prevista a las 7:00 horas, procedente de Cádiz, y salida a las 18:00 horas.
