El candidato del Partido Popular de Zurgena, Domingo Trabalón, llenó anoche el teatro de la localidad en un mitin en el que estuvo acompañado por el parlamentario andaluz del PP, Manuel Guzmán, y la coordinadora del PP en la Alpujarra y diputada provincial, Matilde Díaz, y en el que Trabalón pidió a sus vecinos que el próximo domingo vayan a votar por el cambio que se necesita en Zurgena para convertir a la localidad en un “referente de progreso y bienestar con el PP”.

El candidato zurgenero lamentó que su municipio siga estancado y que los vecinos vean como otras localidades cercanas en las que gobierna el Partido Popular progresan mientras que Zurgena se queda arrinconada a pesar de tener un gran potencial que hay que explotar para que brille por si sola.
En su intervención ante los zurgeneros Domingo Trabalón expuso algunas de las líneas más importantes de su programa. En este sentido explicó que si el próximo 28 de mayo recibe el apoyo masivo de los vecinos y puede gobernar llevará a cabo todas las gestiones que sean necesarias para que se construya una rotonda en los Carasoles y evitar así accidentes; pondrá en marcha el proyecto de soterramiento de la Rambla de Zurgena y embellecimiento de la entrada del pueblo con la construcción de una rotonda; potenciará una red de transporte público y la señalización correcta en La Alfoquía y Zurgena con la construcción de una taquilla digital con horarios y paradas disponibles; y mejorará la conexión entre Zurgena y la Alfoquía con la ampliación del acerado del puente.

En materia sanitaria el candidato a la alcaldía por el PP subrayó que tanto él como su equipo van a trabajar para que Zurgena cuente con un centro de salud único con servicio de ambulancia. Además, van a iniciar los trámites para construir una residencia de mayores y un centro de día y plantearán formación y talleres para fomentar la vida saludable y la prevención de patologías.

El turismo es otro de los pilares en los que Domingo Trabalón ha hecho hincapié. En este sentido ha apostado por la construcción del museo del ferrocarril con el tren histórico de recorrido Zurgena-Arboleas-Huércal Overa; la construcción del museo Ginés Parra, máximo representante artístico de Zurgena; la creación de una marca turística que encuentre sinergias entre gastronomía local, patrimonio y cultura; recuperar las parrandas y clases de folclore y poner en valor los yacimientos arqueológicos.
