De otro lado, en el área metropolitana de Almería que se gestiona a través del Consorcio de Transporte de Almería, se ha previsto la creación de tres rutas que conectarán los municipios de Santa Fe de Mondújar, Gádor, Rioja, Benahadux, Huércal de Almería, Viator y Pechina con las playas de Almería capital.
Estas rutas, que aterrizan en los aledaños del Auditorio Maestro Padilla de Almería, prevén dos expediciones de ida por la mañana y dos de vuelta por la tarde en calendario de fin de semana durante el periodo comprendido entre el próximo 2 de julio al 28 de agosto, con horarios que van de 10,00 a 19,45 horas.

Cada viaje para estas líneas operadas por Alsa (Nex Continental Holdings SLU) tienen un coste de 1,35 euros que se rebaja hasta los 0,34 céntimos para los usuarios de la tarjeta del Consorcio Metropolitano, según ha especificado el director gerente del Consorcio de Transporte, Luis Miguel Carmona.

Carmona ha señalado que forma parte del objetivo de la Junta de Andalucía "concienciar a municipios de interior a que se puede acudir a las playas los fines de semana sin coger el coche", sentido en el que, según ha asegurado, se ha producido un incremento en la ocupación de plazas de este programa de forma progresiva con respecto a 2019.
Por su parte, la delegada territorial ha asegurado que "la Consejería de Fomento trabaja con el objetivo de avanzar en un transporte público, ecológico y sostenible, como una de las prioridades de este Gobierno andaluz".
