La consejera de Agricultura, Pesca, Agua y Desarrollo Rural destaca que los Planes solventan la falta de planificación hidráulica de casi cuatro décadas en Andalucía. La aprobación de los Planes Hidrológicos y los Planes de Gestión de Riesgo de Inundación de las cuencas intracomunitarias andaluzas, como Guadalete-Barbate, Tinto-Odiel-Piedras y las Mediterráneas, ha sido celebrada por Carmen Crespo, consejera de Agricultura, Pesca, Agua y Desarrollo Rural de la Junta de Andalucía. Según Crespo, esta convalidación representa un "hito histórico" y resolverá la falta de planificación hídrica en nuestra comunidad autónoma durante casi cuatro décadas.

"Construiremos entre todos la Andalucía hídrica del futuro a través de los Planes Hidrológicos", ha explicado la consejera. Se destinarán 4.455 millones de euros a obras que tendrán un impacto directo en la economía y los sectores productivos, mitigando los efectos de la sequía estructural en nuestra tierra. "La Junta de Andalucía aportará el 70% de esta cantidad total, es decir, 3.097 millones de euros", ha destacado Crespo.
"Vamos a hacer de Andalucía la primera comunidad autónoma de Europa en reutilización de aguas residuales", ha afirmado Crespo. El objetivo es proporcionar 140 hectómetros cúbicos de aguas regeneradas a los regantes y zonas verdes de nuestros municipios y ciudades, según el testimonio del político.

"Los Planes Hidrológicos, aprobados con un horizonte temporal fijado en el año 2027, son una herramienta de presente y de futuro", ha destacado Carmen Crespo. Según ella, estos planes permitirán acabar con el déficit de infraestructuras hidráulicas heredado en 2019 y, al mismo tiempo, aumentar la seguridad frente a los fenómenos meteorológicos adversos causados por el cambio climático.
En relación a la importancia de esta nueva hoja de ruta en materia de agua en Andalucía, se ha destacado por parte de Crespo la pertinencia de utilizar todas las fuentes hídricas posibles. Se hace especial énfasis en la recuperación de las masas de agua y la garantía de riego mediante la implementación de terciarios para obtener aguas regeneradas. Además, no se deben olvidar otras fuentes tan relevantes como la desalación.

Las grandes infraestructuras que demandaba Andalucía en materia de depuración, saneamiento, las medidas y actuaciones de los decretos de sequía y las obras de abastecimiento que fueron declaradas de Interés de la Comunidad Autónoma son recogidas por los Planes. Además, se favorece la combinación de todas las fuentes hídricas, desde aguas regeneradas, a desalación, presas de regulación o interconexiones. Destacan entre las infraestructuras la construcción de las presas de Gibralmedina o Cerro Blanco, la incorporación, por primera vez en Huelva, de aguas regeneradas; una nueva desaladora en La Axarquía malagueña, la duplicación de la capacidad de la desaladora de Carbonera, así como los desglosados de las canalizaciones de la Presa de Rules, el Plan de Abastecimiento o la Presa de Alcolea, entre otras.

Tras ser aprobados en el Consejo Nacional del Agua, el último y definitivo paso es obtener la aprobación por parte del Consejo de ministros.
