La Junta de Andalucía invertirá 40 millones de euros en la rehabilitación de diez barriadas de la comunidad autónoma, dentro del Plan Ecovivienda financiado con fondos europeos Next Generation. Con esta medida, se pretende mejorar la eficiencia energética, la sostenibilidad y la accesibilidad de 2.655 viviendas que presentan un estado de deterioro y que, en algunos casos, albergan a familias en situación de vulnerabilidad.

Entre las barriadas beneficiadas por estas ayudas se encuentran dos de la capital almeriense: el barrio de los Pintores o Grupo de Viviendas Sindical Alejandro Salazar, con 240 viviendas, y el Grupo de Viviendas Sindical Jacinto Matarín en El Zapillo, con 156. Ambas zonas recibirán una subvención total de 6,7 millones de euros para realizar una reforma integral de unos bloques que datan de mediados del siglo pasado.

La consejera de Fomento, Articulación del Territorio y Vivienda, Rocío Díaz, ha destacado que se trata de “el mayor impulso que, desde la administración, se va a dar para la modernización de los barrios de Andalucía”, ya que, entre las dos fases del Plan Ecovivienda, se va a actuar en 24 barriadas y en torno a 5.700 viviendas.

Además de Almería, las otras provincias que se beneficiarán de estas ayudas son Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada y Sevilla. Entre las intervenciones previstas se incluyen medidas para reducir el consumo energético, reurbanizar espacios urbanos, mejorar la accesibilidad o retirar el amianto. Para optar a estas subvenciones, los ayuntamientos han delimitado previamente el área de actuación y han redactado los proyectos de rehabilitación energética de los edificios. El requisito principal es que se alcance un ahorro energético del 30%, que puede llegar al 80% si se supera el 60% de ahorro o si se destina a personas en situación de vulnerabilidad.
