La Asociación Provincial de Empresarios de Hostelería de Almería (ASHAL) ha vuelto a expresar su indignación por los cortes de luz anunciados por la empresa suministradora Endesa en la ciudad, que afectarán a buena parte del barrio de Nueva Andalucía el próximo día 21, coincidiendo con la celebración de la Feria de Almería.
Según ASHAL, se trata de una “tropelía” y una “desconsideración” hacia uno de los sectores que más empleo genera y que está sufriendo las consecuencias de la inflación. Los hosteleros aseguran que se han enterado a pocas horas de que arranquen las fiestas de un corte eléctrico que se va a producir por un espacio de casi doce horas, lo que supone un “despropósito” y un “agravio” para los establecimientos que tienen en la Semana Grande de la ciudad uno de los momentos más intensos de su actividad.

El corte de luz se llevará a cabo desde las 6,30 hasta las 16 horas y afectará a varias calles y avenidas del barrio, así como a la carretera Autovía aeropuerto y a la Estación Intermodal de Almería. ASHAL calcula que cerca de medio centenar de locales se verán obligados a cerrar durante la jornada del lunes de feria, lo que les supondrá unas importantes pérdidas económicas.

Desde la asociación hostelera se pide a las administraciones que regulen de una manera racional y frenen esta forma de actuar de las compañías suministradoras de servicios básicos, que no tienen en cuenta los graves perjuicios que ocasionan a hosteleros y consumidores y no buscan consenso con los afectados para elegir los días y horas en los que realizar esos trabajos que implican cortes de luz o agua. ASHAL lamenta que la actividad del verano y los procesos electorales no les haya permitido celebrar aún ninguna reunión con representantes políticos para abordar este tema, pero éste será uno de sus objetivos de cara al mes septiembre.
