“Como avancé en el pregón que tuve el orgullo de pronunciar en honor al Santísimo Cristo de la Luz, este año he vuelto a peregrinar desde la ciudad de Almería. En este sentido, el presidente ha reivindicado el peregrinaje al Cristo de la Luz como “una experiencia que te puede cambiar la vida en la que te superas a ti mismo movido por la fe. Lo importante es la introspección que te ofrece el camino, esa capacidad de reflexión y de diálogo íntimo con Dios que te permite conocerte mejor a ti mismo. Recomiendo a todo el mundo que lo haga, como mínimo, una vez en su vida”.
Por último, Javier A. García ha asegurado que “este mes Dalías se convierte en la luz del mundo, en el faro que guía nuestra fe porque Él es el camino, la verdad y la vida. Estamos ante una de las celebraciones y tradiciones más arraigadas de nuestra tierra, la tercera peregrinación más multitudinaria de Andalucía, declaradas de Interés Turístico Nacional y un gran motivo que tenemos para sentirnos profundamente orgullosos de lo que somos, de ser almerienses”.

Este domingo, 17 de septiembre, Dalías vivirá su día grande con la misa mayor y la bajada de la venerada imagen del Cristo de La Luz por la mañana y, ya por la tarde, con la procesión que comenzará a las 20:30 horas. A las 00:30 se iniciará el besapiés del Cristo de la Luz. 72.000 cohetes harán de la noche el día en Dalías con sus más de 2.000 kilos de pólvora para clamar que Dalías es la luz del mundo.
