La provincia de Almería ha registrado el mayor aumento de ingresos por habitación disponible (RevPAR) entre las ocho provincias andaluzas en agosto de 2023, según los datos publicados por el Instituto de Estadística y Cartografía de Andalucía. El RevPAR es un indicador que mide el rendimiento económico de los establecimientos hoteleros, teniendo en cuenta tanto la ocupación como el precio medio.
Según la estadística, Almería ha alcanzado un RevPAR de 104,26 euros en agosto de 2023, lo que supone un incremento del 5,77% respecto al mismo mes del año anterior. Se trata del mayor crecimiento porcentual de toda Andalucía, donde la media regional ha sido de 121,71 euros, con una subida del 2,93%.

La provincia almeriense ha superado así a otras provincias con mayor peso turístico, como Málaga (121,36 euros, 5,79%), Cádiz (141,25 euros, -1,33%) o Granada (46,64 euros, 2,37%). Solo Sevilla (55 euros, 3,42%) y Córdoba (36,95 euros, 3,41%) han registrado aumentos similares a los de Almería, aunque con cifras absolutas muy inferiores. Por el contrario, Huelva (76,54 euros, 7,42%) y Jaén (31,9 euros, -17,42%) han experimentado las mayores caídas.
Dentro de la provincia de Almería, los puntos turísticos que más han destacado por su RevPAR han sido Níjar (122,13 euros, 17,93%), Roquetas de Mar (137 euros, 4,45%) y Mojácar (121,77 euros, -7,94%). Carboneras (80,98 euros, 5,8%) y Almería capital (104,26 euros) han tenido resultados más modestos.

Níjar ha sido el municipio que más ha aumentado sus ingresos hoteleros en términos relativos, situándose por encima de la media provincial y regional. Roquetas de Mar ha sido el segundo punto turístico con mayor RevPAR absoluto de toda Andalucía, solo superado por Chiclana de la Frontera (252,34 euros). Mojácar ha sufrido una bajada respecto al año anterior, pero sigue siendo uno de los destinos más rentables de la provincia.
Estos datos reflejan la buena salud del sector turístico almeriense en un mes clave como agosto. La provincia ha sabido aprovechar su oferta diversificada y su calidad para atraer a visitantes nacionales e internacionales. Almería se consolida así como uno de los referentes del turismo andaluz y español.
