Garrido ha informado de que el Ayuntamiento cuenta con una subvención de 1.547.351 euros de la Junta de Andalucía para construir 64 viviendas en Los Grillos, que podrán albergar a unas 300 personas. Estas viviendas están prácticamente terminadas y se instalarán las cocinas esta misma semana.
Además, el alcalde ha avanzado que se está ultimando un sistema para la gestión de estos alojamientos, que incluirá actividades de integración, como cursos de español o talleres, y una clasificación por país de procedencia y situación familiar de los ocupantes.

El alcalde ha reconocido que el chabolismo es un “problema del municipio” y un “drama humano” que requiere una solución urgente y digna.
