El senador socialista asegura que la alta velocidad llegará a Almería en 2026 y que será el presidente Pedro Sánchez quien inaugure las obras
El senador del PSOE de Almería, Antonio Martínez Rodríguez, considera que el Partido Popular quedó “inhabilitado” para hablar sobre la llegada de la alta velocidad a la provincia “cuando en siete años de gobiernos de Mariano Rajoy no invirtieron ni un euro en las obras” destacando que la “única intervención” fue la del tapiado de los túneles de Sorbas. Por el contrario, ha garantizado la llegada del AVE en 2026 con un gobierno progresista y que “será Pedro Sánchez quien inaugure las obras”.

“El Partido Popular sabe que los trabajos van a buen ritmo y, de hecho, lo pudieron comprobar algunos altos dirigentes de la Junta de Andalucía en una reciente visita realizada en Pulpí” en las que, además, “pudieron ver que es posible gestionar bien los fondos europeos, todo lo contrario de lo que hace Moreno Bonilla”, ha lamentado. “Mientras el Gobierno de Pedro Sánchez abre túneles y avanza en las obras, los gobiernos de Rajoy los tapiaron con la complicidad de los dirigentes provinciales del Partido Popular”, ha sostenido el también secretario de Organización del PSOE de Almería.
En opinión de Antonio Martínez, los líderes provinciales del PP deberían “por pudor” mantener un “respetuoso silencio” sobre el AVE y “dejar que quien ha cogido las riendas, Pedro Sánchez, lo gestione”. El dirigente socialista cree que Rafael Hernando es quien “más debería callar” al ser “el campeón de las excusas y de las justificaciones” en torno al AVE ya que “un año tras otro los gobiernos del PP incumplían los presupuestos sin ejecutar ni un sólo metro de la línea de la alta velocidad” en la provincia.

Asimismo, ha afeado al PP que durante su etapa “se tiraron a la basura los proyectos que ya estaban redactados” y que se aprobaron otros que dejaron en una sola vía la alta velocidad en Almería “dificultando las frecuencias en el transporte de pasajeros y mercancías”.

El senador socialista ha recordado que en la conexión Almería-Murcia se han ejecutado ya más de 1.300 millones de euros y sólo este año se han invertido más de 562 millones de euros en la alta velocidad en la provincia por parte del Gobierno de España. “Las obras están por encima del 50% de su ejecución y los plazos se están cumpliendo”, ha certificado.
