El proceso para que la totalidad del término municipal de El Ejido cuente con abastecimiento urbano de agua desalada continúa avanzando con la celebración en el Ayuntamiento del acto de levantamiento de Actas Previas dentro del procedimiento administrativo de expropiación. Este trámite es necesario para la ejecución de las obras recogidas en el proyecto de construcción “Garantía de Abastecimiento en alta de agua desalada en el Término Municipal de El Ejido (Almería)”.

Tanto hoy lunes como el martes 7 de noviembre, técnicos de la Delegación Provincial de Almería de la Consejería de Agricultura, Pesca, Agua y Desarrollo Rural están realizando en dependencias del Ayuntamiento de El Ejido dichos actos con los propietarios de los terrenos. El edil de Obras Públicas, mantenimiento y Servicios, David Fernández, ha estado presente en la sesión de este lunes junto a los técnicos de la Junta.
Se trata de un proyecto declarado de interés de la Comunidad Autónoma Andaluza y se encuentra actualmente en proceso de licitación, con un prepuesto superior a los 20 millones de euros. Su objeto es garantizar el abastecimiento urbano con agua desalada en la totalidad del municipio, y para ello se han diseñado y proyectado dos nuevas conexiones a la red general de transporte de agua de la Desaladora del Campo de Dalías, en Pampanico y Santa María del Águila.

También, se ampliará la capacidad de la estación de bombeo de aguas potables desaladas existente en Balerma, y adicionalmente se ampliará en 23.000 m3 la capacidad de regulación de las cabeceras de los sistemas de distribución de agua potable municipal mediante la construcción de dos nuevos depósitos en Pampanico y Almerimar. Este último se sumará al depósito actualmente en ejecución por parte del Ayuntamiento, de 3.000 m3 de capacidad.
