El dirigente socialista ha lamentado que pese a que el Gobierno andaluz del PP dispone “de más recursos que nunca”, la sanidad pública “no va bien y no funciona bien”. “Esto que estamos viviendo con Juanma Moreno no ha pasado nunca; nunca se han producido colas de decenas de personas de madrugada en un centro de salud para tratar de conseguir cita y que, además, no la obtengan para ese mismo día”, ha denunciado. “La falta de profesionales en este centro y la mala gestión del Ejecutivo del PP andaluz de la sanidad pública es una manera directa de enseñarle a los pacientes la puerta de sanidad privada para que, quien pueda, contrate un seguro y, allí sí, podrá ser atendido”, ha afeado Sánchez Teruel a Juanma Moreno.
“El código postal importa mucho en Andalucía para ser atendidos en la sanidad pública, porque en unos barrios se consigue cita para dentro de dos días, como sucede en Oliveros; en otros para 10 días, como pasa en San Leonardo, en otros para 15 días, como en Cruz de Caravaca y en otros, como en Nueva Andalucía, no se consigue y la gente tiene que venir de madrugada a hacer cola hasta que abran a las 8 para pedir cita en el mostrador”, ha relatado el parlamentario autonómico por el PSOE de Almería José Luis Sánchez Teruel.

Por su parte, Valverde Tamayo ha pedido a la regidora de Almería que intervenga. “Exigimos a la alcaldesa que se centre en los problemas que tiene Almería y que trabaje para defender nuestros intereses” y ha recordado que la situación que se vive en el centro de salud de Nueva Andalucía y en otros tantos centros de salud “la llevamos padeciendo durante muchos meses ya y ante el silencio de la alcaldesa” a la que pide que reclame soluciones a Juanma Moreno.

“En la ciudad tenemos a una alcaldesa ausente en los temas que interesan a la ciudadanía. La semana pasada estuvo organizando una manifestación, el sábado estuvo en Badalona y ayer en Madrid y la realidad nos dice que no está en los problemas que tiene la ciudadanía de Almería, como son no poder obtener cita médica cuando se está enfermo, la falta de mantenimiento de la ciudad o concesiones que están saqueando las arcas municipales porque no hay un control sobre ellas” y mientras, ha añadido, “el PP y la alcaldesa miran hacia otro lado”.
