La competición es puntuable para el II Circuito Provincial de Triatlón de la Diputación Provincial de Almería y se llevará a cabo el domingo, 26 de noviembre, desde las 10.00 horas en el Parque Municipal. El circuito se dividirá en 5,4 kilómetros (1º carrera a pie), 17,4 km de ciclismo y 2’7 km (2º carrera a pie). Entre las novedades, se habilitará un punto mecánico para las bicicletas y, también, en colaboración con el IES Santo Domingo, se dispondrá de una zona para medir la presión arterial a los participantes antes y después de la prueba
Ya está todo preparado para que este domingo, 26 de noviembre, se dispute el II Duatlón Contrarreloj por equipos de El Ejido que hasta cerrar inscripciones en el día de hoy lleva registrados 38 equipos.

Se trata de una prueba organizada de manera conjunta entre el Club Deportivo ‘Triatlón El Ejido’ y el Ayuntamiento de El Ejido. La concejala María José Martín ha puesto de relieve que “es una satisfacción para nosotros poder acoger por segundo año consecutivo la celebración de un evento de estas características que reunirá a un gran número de atletas y que atraerá a deportistas procedentes de toda Andalucía”.
Por su parte, Paco Fuentes, presidente del Club ‘Triatlón El Ejido’, ha resaltado que “tras el éxito de la primera edición, este año volvemos a llevar a cabo esta prueba que busca ser un referente en el panorama del triatlón andaluz”.

El Duatlón contrarreloj por equipos es una prueba constituida por un equipo, de entre cuatro y seis personas, que podrá ser masculino, femenino o mixto. Para que el equipo se clasifique es obligatorio que al menos 4 de los integrantes entren juntos por la línea de meta, que en el caso de equipos mixtos es obligatorio que dos de los cuatros integrantes sean chicas.

Habrá distintas categorías en lucha, equipos federados, tanto masculinos como femeninos que tendrán solamente un equipo por club y la categoría Open, tanto masculina como femenina y equipos mixtos, de esta manera se da la posibilidad de participar tanto a los más expertos como a los principiantes a este evento.
