El Ayuntamiento de Almería está ultimando, en el marco del programa navideño elaborado por el Área de Cultura, Tradiciones y Fiestas Mayores, la llegada a la ciudad de los Reyes Magos de Oriente en la tarde-noche del próximo 5 de enero. Se trata de una de las citas más esperadas y multitudinarias del año en la capital y en ella ya están trabajando los emisarios de Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar para la Cabalgata de 2024.

La alcaldesa de Almería, María del Mar Vázquez, ha recibido hoy una misiva en la que los emisarios de Sus Majestades le anunciaban que ya han emprendido viaje hacia Almería para recibir sus coronas en el Salón de Plenos del Ayuntamiento a mediados de mes, que es cuando se prevé que llegarán a la ciudad.
Este año, según los rasgos que le han descrito a la regidora, se parecen mucho a Carlos Salvador Hidalgo, Hermano Mayor de la Hermandad del Rocío de Almería; a Adama Sangare Diarra, mediador intercultural en la Fundación Cepaim y voluntario en asociaciones como Almería Acoge, Ansuar y Bengadi; y a Pedro Caparrós Torrecillas, director general de Grupo Caparrós.

Una vez asumida la responsabilidad de ser el enlace directo entre los almerienses y los Reyes Magos de Oriente para que hagan realidad los sueños y los deseos de todos los niños y familias de la ciudad, los tres emisarios ya se han puesto manos a la obra para que todo esté en orden el día de la llegada a la ciudad de Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar.

Como es tradición, en la tarde-noche del 5 de enero Sus Majestades de Oriente volverán a saludar a los almerienses desde el balcón de la Plaza Vieja tras su llegada al Conjunto Monumental de la Alcazaba. Posteriormente recorrerán las calles de la capital en sus carrozas antes de repartir regalos e ilusión entre los más pequeños de cada hogar.
