El alcalde de Níjar, José Francisco Garrido, ha agradecido la colaboración de la Junta de Andalucía y de la Diputación Provincial, así como la profesionalidad de todos los agentes implicados en este campeonato, destacando que “es una cita deportiva de primer nivel, en la que hemos contado con las canteras del Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético, Betis, Sevilla, Valencia… Han sido miles de visitantes los que hemos acogido estos días, algo que supone un impacto económico positivo en nuestro municipio”, ha valorado el alcalde, quien entregaba en el campo de Santa Olalla el Premio Níjar Cup al exportero Iker Casillas, quien ha sido testigo de excepción de esta edición.
