La provincia de Almería ha experimentado un incremento demográfico significativo durante el año 2022, según los primeros resultados del Censo de Población publicados por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) este miércoles. En total, la población ha aumentado en 13.823 personas, situándose en 753.364 habitantes a 1 de enero de 2023.
Uno de los datos más destacados es el considerable aumento en la población de Roquetas de Mar, la localidad costera que encabeza el crecimiento demográfico en la provincia. Según los datos del INE, Roquetas de Mar ha ganado 3.226 habitantes durante el último año, alcanzando un total de 105.886 vecinos. El 70,3% de la población es de nacionalidad española, mientras que el 29,7% restante proviene de distintos países extranjeros, registrando un aumento del 7,6%.
