La Guardia Civil de la Comandancia de Almería llevó a cabo la detención de un individuo el pasado lunes 22 de enero, quien fue sorprendido transportando un kilogramo de cocaína escondido bajo el asiento del conductor de su vehículo. Este hallazgo tuvo lugar durante un operativo preventivo realizado por agentes de la Unidad de Seguridad Ciudadana en el área de Viator, en Almería.

El arresto se llevó a cabo como parte de las actividades continuas de la Guardia Civil en la provincia de Almería, destinadas a combatir la delincuencia y el tráfico de drogas. La intervención estuvo a cargo de la Unidad de Seguridad Ciudadana (USECIC), una unidad especializada en la respuesta inmediata ante situaciones de riesgo y dificultad, que opera dentro de la Comandancia de Almería.
Durante un dispositivo de seguridad en la autovía A-7, los agentes inspeccionaron un vehículo que levantó sus sospechas, encontrando el paquete de cocaína cuidadosamente oculto. El conductor, un hombre de 41 años y residente en Aguadulce-Roquetas de Mar, fue detenido de inmediato y puesto a disposición judicial por su presunta implicación en un delito contra la salud pública.
