La Secretaria General de UGT Almería, Carmen Vidal, ha valorado positivamente el descenso del paro, y el incremento de la afiliación a la Seguridad Social, que ha supuesto un dato de afiliación histórico respecto a los últimos doce años, al tiempo que ha valorado la continua mejora de la contratación indefinida que supera el 54%. “La reforma laboral está cumpliendo el objetivo de reducir la temporalidad y mejorar la economía, creando puestos de trabajo estables y mejores condiciones laborales, al contrario que en el Sector Público donde la temporalidad en el empleo público en educación o sanidad se sitúa cerca del 30%”
Carmen Vidal ha incidido en la importancia de potenciar la industrialización de nuestra provincia para dejar de quedarse en el furgón de cola por sus bajos salarios que predominan en el Sector Servicios y ha reivindicado un Plan de Industrialización para Almería.

Ha incidido sin embargo en la necesidad de abordar el coste del despido improcedente y ha aplaudido que el Comité Europeo de Derechos Sociales haya resuelto favorablemente la reclamación colectiva que UGT presentó en marzo de 2022 sobre este asunto “Para UGT Almería, la normativa española incumple el artículo 24 de la Carta Social Europea y el Convenio 158 de la OIT al fijar una indemnización para los despidos improcedentes de 33 días por año trabajado con un límite de 24 mensualidades”.

UGT Almería asimismo ha instado al Gobierno Andaluz a poner en marcha este año un Plan de Empleo Integral y políticas activas de empleo que aumenten la dotación de recursos para dar formación y hacer que las personas encuentren trabajo especialmente los parados de larga duración.
