.El Consejo de Ministros ha aprobado un proyecto para la construcción de un centro temporal de acogida de inmigrantes en la isla de Alborán, con una inversión asignada de 1.300.000 euros. Esta decisión llega tras la visita de la ministra de Defensa, Margarita Robles, a la isla hace un mes, en respuesta a la llegada de dos pateras que resultó en una tragedia con una víctima mortal. Los inmigrantes rescatados se vieron obligados a permanecer en la isla durante más de una semana debido a las adversas condiciones marítimas.
