El presidente de la Institución Provincial y la alcaldesa han visitado esta actuación que cuenta con una inversión de 1,3 millones de euros y las mejoras en las infraestructuras urbanas en tres importantes calles
La Diputación Provincial de Almería afronta la recta final de las obras del futuro Pabellón Polideportivo de Vélez-Blanco. Así lo han comprobado el presidente, Javier A. García y la alcaldesa Ana María López durante la visita que han realizado este mediodía a la que será la mayor infraestructura deportiva cubierta de este municipio. Ambos han estado acompañados por los vicepresidentes, Fernando Giménez y José Antonio García, y los diputados Carlos Sánchez y José Juan Martínez; los concejales y el equipo técnico que está ejecutando el proyecto.

Del mismo modo, ha recordado que esta obra es una muestra de la colaboración entre administraciones y cumple con el objetivo de la Diputación de “igualar oportunidades entre todos los almerienses, vivan donde vivan. Este proyecto fue el primero que la alcaldesa ha querido impulsar. La alcaldesa, Ana María López, ha apuntado que “esta obra es fundamental para nuestro municipio. Estamos terminando la primera fase con Diputación la cual queremos dejar la instalación para el uso de todas las personas que quieran hacer deporte. Con un presupuesto de 245.768 €, actualmente se encuentran en ejecución dos actuaciones que afectan directamente a tres viales del municipio. En las calles Piamonte y Esperanza se están mejorando las redes hidráulicas; mientras que en la calle San Francisco se está abordando la mejora de instalaciones de saneamiento, agua potable, alumbrado público, preinstalación de red de baja tensión y telecomunicaciones; así como pavimentación del vial mediante adoquinado. Además, en la calle Piamonte se ha actuado para que las ambulancias puedan acceder sin problemas a toda la calle.
